Designed to help meet the latest fire safety requirements across England and Wales, it is suitable for BS 5839-6 Grade D1 fire alarm systems and is certified to BS EN 14604:2005 (Smoke) and BS 5446-2:2003 (Heat).
The optical smoke alarms are designed for hallways, landings, bedrooms, living rooms and lofts, while the heat alarm is ideal for kitchens and utility rooms where cooking fumes may cause nuisance alarms. Featuring a high-sensitivity optical smoke sensor and an advanced Class A2 heat sensor (54–70°C), the system provides fast and reliable fire detection while helping to reduce false alarms.
Each alarm is powered by a 230V mains supply and supported by a sealed 10-year tamper-proof backup battery, ensuring continued protection during a power failure. The built-in radio interlink technology allows up to 50 SAFE-TECH alarms to communicate wirelessly, so when one alarm detects danger, all interconnected alarms sound together.
